Body found after drowning at Pinawa Dam

A Winnipeg man’s body was recovered Monday after he drowned at Pinawa Dam Provincial Heritage Park this weekend.
Lac du Bonnet RCMP were contacted about a possible drowning at about 8 pm. Sunday.
Police said in a news release Tuesday that the 20-year-old man “was at the top of the small waterfall at the dam” when he slipped on wet rocks and fell into the water.
Police and firefighters searched the area and the shoreline that night.
The man’s body was found during another search, which included the RCMP underwater recovery team, that started Monday afternoon.
