The Winnipeg Blue Bombers gave up a long-bomb touchdown on the final play of the second quarter but lead the B.C. Lions 18-10 in the CFL’s Western Final tonight at IG Field.

B.C. quarterback Vernon Adams Jr., found receiver Justin McInnis from 45 yards out with no time left on the clock.

Late in the quarter, Bombers linebacker Adam Bighill suffered an injury to his right leg while he was rushing Adams and needed to be helped off the field

The Bombers led 7-3 after the first quarter on a Brady Oliveira eight-yard run. Oliveira has 14 carries for 101 yards through 30 minutes.

In the second, Jackson Jeffcoat’s monster sack on Adams Jr., forced a deep punt by B.C., however, Bombers’ defensive back Nick Hallett blocked it, recovered the ball and barged into the end zone for a Winnipeg major and a 15-3 cushion at 5:21.

Sergio Castillo missed a 46-yard field goal but later made one from 29 yards out at 9:36 on a drive set up by a Kyrie Wilson interception.
