The Winnipeg Blue Bombers trail the Montreal Alouettes 7-3 after the first quarter in the regular-season opener against the Montreal Alouettes at Princess Auto Stadium.
The Bombers opened the scoring with a 17-yard field goal midway through the frame. The Alouettes answered back minutes later, with quarterback Cody Fajardo connecting with Tyson Philpot in the end zone for a 14-yard touchdown and a 7-3 lead. The play was aided by a fumble on a punt return from Myron Mitchell.
