The annual outdoor concert series held in downtown Winnipeg outside the Burton Cummings Theatre has announced the bands for the four nights of the Aug. 13-17 event.
As usual, the series is grouped by genre: Thursday, Aug. 13, will see metalcore act Killswitch Engage perform; Friday, Aug. 14, features female indie-pop acts Beaches, Lights and Lolo; Saturday features Canadian classic acts Colin James and Streetheart; and Sunday it’s a ’90s flashback with Collective Soul, 54-40, and Paul Langlois of the Tragically Hip.
Opening acts for each night have yet to be announced. The site will again be licensed and include food trucks and vendors.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 13, at 10 a.m. and start at $69.50 per night (plus fees) for the first 1,000 tickets sold for each date. VIP tickets offer access to the VIP viewing deck, exclusive bar service and washrooms, two complimentary beverages, popcorn and a souvenir VIP laminate. Regular and VIP full-festival (four days) and two-day passes, which offer savings over buying individual nights, are also available.
