Cash found in suitcase, man arrested at Winnipeg airport

A Calgary man is facing a criminal charge after a suitcase at Winnipeg’s airport was found to contain a large amount of cash.
RCMP were sent to the screening area at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport at about 10:55 a.m. Saturday and found the owner of the case in the departures area.
A 30-year-old man destined for Toronto was arrested for possession of proceeds of crime and later released from custody for a court appearance scheduled in Winnipeg on Feb. 3.
RCMP did not say how much cash was in the suitcase.
