Celebrate all things dog at inaugural BarkFest

Red River Exhibition Park will welcome the inaugural BarkFest the Ultimutt Dog Party on Sept. 20 and 21.

The BarkFest Market will showcase more than 100 vendors with dog-related products, services and fashions. There will also be entertainment for dogs and humans, including X-Treme Dogs Agility Performances, Doggy’s Got Talent Contest, Dapper Dogs Fashion Show, Barkitecture Dream Doghouses and K9 Academy, along with interactive activities and treats such as the Zoomies Zone, Downward Dog Spaw, and Scratch + Sniff Adventure.

As part of the Raising the Woof! fundraising initiative, a portion of proceeds from the 50/50 raffle, design contest and other events will go to support local animal rescue groups, including K9 Advocacy, Mutts Dog Rescue and Underdogs Rescue.

Tickets go on sale May 15 for $8-$22 at Barkfestmb.ca. VIP Wag Bags are $39. Free admission for dogs and kids under 5.
