The City of Winnipeg is receiving $140,000 in funding to combat climate change.
The grant, from the Municipal Green Fund, will help the city conduct a climate risk and vulnerability assessment, a city news release Thursday stated.
It will be part of a larger study that will shape the city’s new climate action plan and climate resilience strategy.
The evaluation will allow the city to determine what it should focus on to mitigate climate change.
