Crews extinguish vacant house fire in North End

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to a vacant house fire on the 400 block of Flora Avenue just after 5 a.m. Saturday.

Upon their arrival, firefighters saw smoke coming from the home. The fire was declared under control at 5:41 a.m. No injuries were reported and the fire is being investigated.

The city is asking residents to call 911 if they see someone entering a vacant building, or to contact 311 if a building’s windows or doors have been breached.
