Crews put out Hallet Street fire

Crews extinguished a fire in North Point Douglas early Thursday.

Firefighters were sent to the multi-family home on the 100 block of Hallet Street at 2:20 a.m. They declared the fire under control shortly before 3 a.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service said in a news release.

The City of Winnipeg’s emergency social services team was sent there to provide temporary support for displaced residents.
