Members of the union representing Manitoba Hydro’s technical and clerical workers have ratified a new collective deal.
The three-year agreement includes wage increases of 9.5 per cent, with more increases for the lowest-paid and long-service employees. The total value of the agreement is 12 per cent over its term.
Eighty-two per cent of the votes cast by Canadian Union of Public Employees 998 members were in favour of the deal. Eighty per cent of the workers cast votes, the union said in a news release Wednesday.
The new contract is in effect until Dec. 31, 2027.
