Death at Niakwa Country Club not suspicious: police

Police believe the death of a person found in a Niakwa Country Club pond Wednesday afternoon was not under suspicious circumstances.

The body was found between the 11th and 16th fairways, its general manager said in an email to members Wednesday. Police were sent to the scene shortly after 1 p.m.

Normal operations at Niakwa resumed Thursday.

The dead person was not a club member, the GM’s email said, without elaborating.
