Death toll in highway crash rises to three

Two more people have died of injuries they suffered in a head-on crash in western Manitoba on March 23.
The collision took place on Highway 50 in the Rural Municipality of WestLake-Gladstone. RCMP said a southbound car crossed into the northbound lane and struck an oncoming vehicle.
A 35-year-old Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation woman, who was driving the northbound vehicle, died at the scene.
RCMP said Wednesday her passenger, a 36-year-old man from Langruth, and the driver of the southbound car, a 19-year-old man from The Pas, have since died in hospital.
A two-year-old boy in the teenager’s car survived with minor injuries.
