Drugs, other items seized at Stony Mountain prison

Corrections officers seized contraband items with an estimated prison value of more than $400,000 at Stony Mountain Institution on Monday.

A package containing cocaine, cannabis concentrate and tobacco was seized on the perimeter of the medium-security unit.

Police have been notified, and the prison is also investigating, the Correctional Service of Canada said in a news release Wednesday.
