The province announced eight new confirmed measles cases Friday, for a total of 278 since February.
There are 23 probable cases, an increase of one from the previous weekly update. The latest numbers are accurate as of Dec. 6.
The Manitoba government also notified the public Friday of another location where people might have been exposed to measles: Bethesda Regional Health Centre’s emergency room in Steinbach, from 1:25 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Public health officials asked anyone who was there during that time to check their immunization records and ensure they are up to date with measles vaccines.
