A 60-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle collision near Ninette on Thursday.
Killarney RCMP were sent to the scene of the crash on Highway 23, about five kilometres west of Ninette, at about 2:35 p.m.
An SUV was in the northbound ditch and emergency responders were on scene when officers arrived, police said in a news release Friday.
The driver, an Elgin resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation determined the man was driving west when the SUV went into the ditch at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then hit an approach and rolled several times, RCMP said.
The man, who was the lone occupant of the SUV, was not wearing a seatbelt, the release said.
