An emergency alert test message will be sent Wednesday, Manitoba’s Emergency Management Organization says.
The test — through Alert Ready, the national public alerting system — will be sent to TV, radio and compatible wireless devices at 1:55 p.m. Tests are happening in most provinces and territories that day.
Not all Canadians will receive the alert on their mobile devices because of device compatibility, connection to a long-term evolution (LTE) network, cell-tower coverage and device software and settings, Alert Ready said.
