Some Winnipeg drivers may need to find new places to park to support the city’s latest snow-clearing efforts.
An extended winter route parking ban will take effect at midnight Thursday, as city crews work to clear away snow and ice. Parking will be prohibited on winter routes and snow routes between midnight and 7 a.m. daily.
Those who violate the ban could receive a $100 ticket and may be towed.
The city will announce when the ban is lifted, at which point the annual winter route parking ban will continue from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. daily.
