Traffic will be disrupted in the Waverley West area beginning Thursday night as a temporary Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service station is delivered and installed.
The station is set to be delivered that night and will be assembled Friday and Saturday.
The southbound lanes of Eaglewood Drive from Skyline Drive to the Element on Eaglewood complex entrance are slated to be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday until 8 p.m. Saturday. Southbound traffic will be routed down the left side of the north lane.
“No parking” signs will be posted along both sides of Eaglewood Drive from Waverley Street to Skyline Drive.
The sidewalk on the west of Eaglewood Drive will be closed. Pedestrians can use the east sidewalk.
Construction equipment will be operating in the area while the “new interim modular station” is being moved and assembled.
“As a safety precaution, residents are asked to avoid the area while work is underway,” the City of Winnipeg said in a news release Wednesday.
