Firefighters respond to fire on Bannatyne Avenue

Three people were transported to hospital in stable condition on Monday morning as firefighters responded to a fire in a multi-family home on Bannatyne Avenue.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire on the street’s 400 block shortly after 2 a.m., where crews found smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire and declared it under control at 2:45 a.m.

The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team responded to the scene to provide temporary support to displaced residents, according to a release.

The first is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available, the release said.
