Forks shifts New Year’s celebrations to Jan. 1

Those hoping to celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Forks will have to wait until New Year’s Day.

The Forks is swapping its annual nighttime celebrations for daytime ones this year. Programming — which includes a drag brunch, Folklorama performances, games and crafts, and performances by local musicians — will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., indoors and outdoors.

The Forks has also adjusted its Canada Day celebrations over the past few years, focusing more on daytime programming. In 2023, it replaced the fireworks display with a drone show.
