Former Winnipeg Blue Bomber defensive end Craig Roh has lost his battle with Stage IV colon cancer.
He was 33 years old.
“This is @mrschelsearoh, Craig’s wife. I wanted to let all of his followers know that after an 18-month battle with Stage IV colon cancer, God brought Craig home on Monday, February 26th,” Chelsea, Roh’s wife, posted on X Wednesday morning. “Craig was not very public with his battle, as he truly just wanted to focus on bringing the best content and building the best products he could. He laid out a timeline for his business so stay tuned.”
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family. All of the proceeds will go towards “medical expenses, future schooling for their son Max, and life for Chelsea as they mourn and start to rebuild their life.”
Roh spent four seasons in the CFL, starting his career with the B.C. Lions before joining Winnipeg for his final two years in 2018 and 2019. After retiring, he continued to contribute to the game with his D-line University business, where he offered D-line tips to coaches and athletes.
