Legendary former Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach Bud Grant has died.

He was 95.

Grant had resided in northern Wisconsin.

With Grant at the helm, the Bombers appeared in six Grey Cups from 1957-66, winning four (1958, 1959, 1961 and 1962).

He also led the Minnesota Vikings to four Super Bowl appearances, although his club lost each time.

Grant was the first person to be inducted into both the CFL Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Vikings announced Grant’s death on social media Saturday.

“We are absolutely devastated to announce legendary Minnesota Vikings head coach and Hall of Famer Bud Grant has passed away this morning at age 95,” the post said. “We, like all Vikings and NFL fans, are shocked and saddened by this terrible news.”
