Four people have been arrested in a convenience store robbery in the 400 block of St. Anne’s Road shortly before 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

The suspects threw rocks and smashed up a 2008 Honda CR-V that was parked in front of the locked store, and then smashed store windows and forced their way in, the Winnipeg Police Service stated in a news release Sunday.

All four suspects ran away with stolen property before police arrived. They caused more than $5,000 in damages to the vehicle and to the store, police stated. The lone clerk was not injured as a result of the incident.

Two youths and two adults are facing charges in connection with the robbery.
