Four men have been charged with second-degree murder after a slaying on Magnus Avenue this winter.

The men were arrested between July 7 and Wednesday for the killing of 35-year-old Matthew Robert Pelletier, who formerly lived in Winnipeg.

Derek Donald Franklin, 43, is also charged with possession of a weapon and breaching a release order. Clinton William Wirffel, 40, is also charged with two counts of breaching a release order.

Eric Jade Wirffel, 40, and Charlie Bronson Keeper, 37, face only the murder charges.

All four men have criminal records.

Pelletier was found dead in a home on the afternoon of Feb. 25.
