‘Golden Jet’ Bobby Hull has died

Legendary NHL and WHL scorer Bobby Hull has died.

His friend, former Winnipeg sportscaster Peter Young, confirmed the news Monday morning.

Hull was 84.

The cause of death hasn’t been released.

Hull starred with the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL for years before jumping to join the Winnipeg Jets of the World Hockey Association in 1972.

The controversial Hull played with Anders Hedberg and Ulf Nilsson on the  famous ‘Hot Line’ in Winnipeg.

He fired 303 goals in 411 games for the Jets from 1972-1980. Hull was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983.
