In the wake of renewed popularity stemming from their 1990s hit Iris gaining fresh traction on TikTok, alt-rock group the Goo Goo Dolls are coming to Canada Life Centre on March 29.

Formed in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1986 by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac, the band moved from a scrappy punk vibe to a more polished adult alternative sound in the mid-’90s, amassing hits such as Name, Slide and Black Balloon and collecting Grammy nominations.

The duo is touring in support of its recent EP, Summer Anthem. They will be joined by Dashboard Confessional, the emo band fronted by songwriter Chris Carrabba.

Tickets (prices TBA) go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.ca and livenation.com. Special VIP packages are available.
