A 22-year-old woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly pointing a gun at youths outside a St. James restaurant Friday night.
During a verbal argument with a group of youth in front of the restaurant in the 600 block of St. James Street at 11:47 p.m. March 28, a young woman assaulted a youth who reacted, knocking the woman to the ground. The suspect then pointed a firearm at the group of youths. Restaurant staff were notified and police were called. No shots were fired.
Members of the WPS tactical support team later arrested a suspect in the 1800 block of Ellice Avenue.
A 22-year-old suspect is charged with assault, three counts of pointing a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon. She was released on an undertaking and her name hasn’t been publicly released by police.
