Handcuffed man escapes from RCMP

RCMP are searching for a man who escaped into dense bush after being handcuffed and placed in a police vehicle.
Police arrested a male for allegedly breaching conditions of a release order at a home on Airport Road in Chemawawin Cree Nation at about 3:30 p.m. Monday. A 28-year-old woman who knows the man helped him escape the vehicle, RCMP said in a news release Tuesday.
Roberto Easter, 30, of Chemawawin, was last seen fleeing into dense brush, police said. Mounties are searching for Easter.
The Chemawawin woman has been charged with escaping lawful custody, resisting or obstructing a police officer and uttering threats.
