Partial skeletal remains have been found along a shoreline near Tataskweyak Cree Nation.

Thompson RCMP were called to a lake near the community Saturday at 12:10 p.m. They were told the remains were visible in the sand owing to low water levels on the lake.

“The investigation into the origins of these skeletal remains and their age, believed to be historical, will continue with the assistance of an anthropologist,” a press release from the RCMP said Monday.
