Hit-and-run driver sought after teen struck

RCMP are searching for a driver who left an intersection after hitting a teenage girl on a scooter in the Rural Municipality of St. Clements.
Police said Monday the incident happened on Old River Road at the intersection with Danko Drive at about 8:25 p.m. Thursday. Two teens, one walking and the other on a scooter, were approaching the intersection when a vehicle initially stopped but then drove on. The vehicle hit the girl on the scooter.
The driver reportedly stopped and rolled down a window, then drove away.
The teen was taken to hospital, where she was treated and released.
The vehicle is described as a black SUV or car with tinted windows. The driver is described as a white man in his 20s or 30s who was wearing a baseball cap.
RCMP are asking anyone with information on the incident to call Red River North RCMP at 204-668-8322.
