House fire on Alexander Avenue extinguished

Crews extinguished a house fire on Alexander Avenue that started late Sunday.
Firefighters were sent to the two-storey house on the 400 block at 11:29 p.m. and declared the fire under control at 12:37 a.m. Monday. Everyone inside got out before crews arrived.
The City of Winnipeg’s emergency social services team went to the scene to offer temporary help to residents.
The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service advised people to be careful in the area because water used to fight the fire has frozen and created slippery conditions.
