HSC children’s emergency dept. flagged for measles exposure

Manitoba Health is flagging two possible measles exposures at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg in recent days.
The first exposure took place last Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 3:50 p.m. at HSC’s children’s hospital emergency department, said a Monday measles update. The second took place in the same location on Saturday from 11:05 a.m. until 4:50 p.m.
People exposed who have not been vaccinated may be eligible for preventative treatment within six days.
As of April 11, there have been 474 confirmed cases of measles in the province and 68 probable cases, according to Manitoba Health.
