A person was found dead inside a rural home near Narcisse after it burned down.
Gimli RCMP were asked to check on the well-being of a 69-year-old man who lived there alone at about 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers found the home, in the Rural Municipality of Armstrong, had been destroyed by fire. Human remains, believed to be the man’s, were later found in the rubble, Manitoba RCMP said in a news release Monday.
The fire is not considered suspicious, the release said.
