IIU to probe arrest of frostbitten man

Manitoba’s police watchdog is investigating after a man who was arrested suffered frostbite and was hospitalized.
Gypsumville RCMP were investigating a report of a home invasion in Little Saskatchewan First Nation on Saturday when officers tracked multiple suspects to a home in the Rural Municipality of Grahamdale.
Six individuals were taken into custody and one man was taken to hospital for frostbite from exposure to the cold.
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba was notified of the incident Wednesday.
