The Winnipeg Jets wasted no time getting back in the win column.

One night after a 3-0 loss to the Seattle Kraken, the club responded with a 5-3 victory over the Calgary Flames on Friday night inside Canada Life Centre.

Kyle Connor, Jonathan Toews, Gabe Vilardi, Alex Iafallo and Vlad Namestnikov all scored for the home team, while Josh Morrissey had three assists. Backup goalie Eric Comrie stopped 30 of 33 shots.

Nazem Kadri, Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman replied for the visitors.

Winnipeg improves to 6-2-0 while Calgary falls to a league-worst 1-7-1.

The Jets return to action on Sunday when they host the Utah Mammoth.
