Jets fall 4-3 to Stars

The Winnipeg Jets kicked off a four-game homestand with a hard-fought 4-3 loss to the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night

Dallas grabbed a 3-0 lead early in the second period, then held on as Winnipeg tried to mount a comeback.

Mark Scheifele scored twice for the home team, while defenceman Logan Stanley had the other goal.

Esa Lindell, Roope Hintz, Alex Petrovic and Jason Robertson had the Dallas goals.

The Jets are now 14-14-1 and have just five wins in their last 17 games (5-11-1). Dallas improves to 21-5-5.

Winnipeg hosts Boston on Thursday night.
