It turns out that three out of four ain’t bad.

The Winnipeg Jets channelled the lyrics of the classic Meatloaf song to close out their homestand with a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday afternoon.

After dropping the opener of the four-game homestand to the Buffalo Sabres, the Jets responded with three consecutive victories to improve to 51-19-4 for the season.

Kyle Connor, Mason Appleton and Cole Perfetti (with a highlight-reel toe drag before roofing his shot) scored for the Jets, who got 23 saves from Connor Hellebuyck — who improves to 43-10-3 for the campaign.

With the win, the Jets extended their lead atop the NHL standings to three points over the Washington Capitals and expanded their lead in the Central Division to six points over the Dallas Stars, who have a game in hand.
