Jets lose 4-1 to Golden Knights

The Winnipeg Jets matched a season-high winless streak by losing 4-1 to the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday night.

Ivan Barbashev broke a tie with 5:29 left in regulation, then added an empty netter with 1:45 remaining to seal it. Jack Eichel also scored into the empty net.

Pavel Dorofeyev had opened the scoring in the first period, while Sean Monahan replied for Winnipeg in the middle frame.

The Jets went 0-for-5 on the power play.

Winnipeg now falls to 44-23-6, including 0-4-1 in the past five games. Vegas improves to 40-25-8.

The Jets return to action on Saturday night when they host the Ottawa Senators.
