ELMONT, N.Y — The Winnipeg Jets fell 3-2 to the New York Islanders on Tuesday night to extend their winless streak to three games (0-2-1).

Josh Morrissey and Nikolaj Ehlers scored on the power play but the visitors couldn’t muster any even strength offence as they kicked off a four-game road trip.

Connor Hellebuyck stopped 26 of 29 shots he faced.

Winnipeg is now 42-16-4 with 20 regular-season games remaining.

They’ll now head to Philadelphia to face the Flyers on Thursday night.
