Wives and girlfriends of Winnipeg Jets players are holding a pet-food drive in partnership with the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Fans are encouraged to take donations to the game to the Jan. 24 home game against the Utah Hockey Club.

Fans who donate items will have a chance to win a post-game meet-and-greet with Winnipeg Jets players’ Mark Scheifele, Neal Pionk, Nino Niederreiter and Mason Appleton.

A portion of the pet food collected will be distributed to remote and northern communities through the humane society’s One Health program.
