BUFFALO — Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry scored on a rebound 3:59 into overtime as they downed the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 Thursday night.
Gabriel Vilardi and Kyle Connor scored in regulation for the visitors, who entered play having lost four straight games.
Lowry’s seventh of the year came after a great effort from defenceman Josh Morrissey, who had two assists on the night.
Connor Hellebuyck stopped 28 of 30 shots to help the cause.
Winnipeg improves to 19-8-0 and will finish this two-game road trip on Saturday afternoon in Chicago.
