Jets score late to defeat Avalanche

The Winnipeg Jets’ top line continues to pile up the points.

The trio of Kyle Connor (two goals), Mark Scheifele (two assists) and Cole Perfetti (one goal) combined for five points in a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night.

Stuart Skinner was sensational between the pipes, finishing with 32 saves as the Jets improved to 3-0-1 on the season.

The only bad news for the Jets was that they lost defenceman Josh Morrissey to a suspected right wrist or hand injury.

The Jets are back in action on Friday against the Anaheim Ducks.
