Police are searching for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a woman in Keeseekoowenin Ojibway First Nation last week.
Frank La Forge, a 52-year-old resident of the Riding Mountain-area community, is wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder. He is described as five-foot-eight in height and about 150 pounds, with brown eyes with a bald head.
RCMP said Wednesday they believe La Forge is in the Yellowhead area of Manitoba and that he has connections to the Kamsack and Yorkton areas of Saskatchewan. They asked anyone who sees him to contact the Wasagaming detachment at 204-848-2659, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online.
A 33-year-old woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 26-year-old man were shot at a home early on July 28. RCMP said at the time that the incident was “targeted.”
