Liberals announce Tuxedo byelection candidate

The Manitoba Liberals have announced Jamie Pfau as their candidate for the Tuxedo byelection.

The winner of the June 18 byelection will replace former premier Heather Stefanson as MLA for the constituency.

Pfau is a small business owner, a PhD candidate in community health sciences and president of the Manitoba Foster Parent Association. She lives in Tuxedo.

Nurse Carla Compton was announced as the NDP’s candidate Monday. The Progressive Conservative party will hold a nomination meeting in the coming days to select its candidate.
