Light failure suspected cause of Dudley Avenue house fire

A fire in a Fort Rouge home early Thursday is believed to have been caused by an electrical failure in a light.

Crews were sent to the house on the 800 block of Dudley Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. and declared the fire under control about 35 minutes later.

Everyone inside the home got out before crews arrived, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service said in a news release.
