Colton and Kadriana Lott did not qualify for the playoffs at Canadian mixed doubles trials in Liverpool, N.S., after falling 9-6 in an extra end against Brent Gallant and Jocelyn Peterman of Alberta.

The Gimli couple finished the round-robin 4-3 but were eliminated from contention by way of a tiebreaker owing to their earlier loss to father-daughter duo Jaelyn and Jim Cotter.

The Cotters join Gallant and Peterman, who finished the round-robin as the only undefeated team in the tournament, and Lisa Weagle and John Epping (5-2) in the playoffs from Pool B.

The top three qualifiers from Pool A will be determined by the results of the final draw, which begins at 11 a.m. CT.
