Louise Bridge to close for day of repairs

The Louise Bridge will close in both directions for much of Friday.

The bridge will shut down while crews repair its bearings between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. that day. Pedestrians will still be able to use its west sidewalk.

The closure is expected to avoid the peak morning and afternoon rush traffic periods.

Drivers are asked to use the Provencher or Disraeli bridges to cross the Red River during the closure.
