Man, 58, stabbed downtown

A 58-year-old man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed downtown Friday night.

Police were sent to the 300 block of Portage Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. and found a 58-year-old with “a serious injury to his upper body.” He was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

The initial investigation determined the victim and another male were in an argument before the victim was stabbed.
