Man, 62, carjacked at St. Anne’s Road gas station

A 62-year-old man was carjacked at a gas station in St. Vital on Monday afternoon.
Winnipeg police officers were sent to the Shell station at 350 St. Anne’s Rd. at about 3:20 p.m. The victim told officers three suspects jumped in as he was getting out of his Toyota Sequoia and hit him with the SUV’s door when he tried to stop them.
Patrolling officers spotted the vehicle and pulled it over near Coniston Street and St. Mary’s Road at about 11:10 p.m. Police seized a folding knife.
A 17-year-old male will be charged with robbery, possession of a weapon and three counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was detained ahead of a court appearance.
Another 17-year-old male will be charged with robbery and flight while pursued by a peace officer. He was released on an undertaking.
A 14-year-old male will be charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He was released on an appearance notice.
