RCMP have arrested a man accused of an armed robbery at a business in Strathclair, a small community south of Riding Mountain National Park.
Wasagaming Mounties were called to the Main Street business just after 10 p.m. on Aug. 3, where an employee told them a man came inside demanding money, brandishing bear spray.
The suspect made off with cash and alcohol. The employee wasn’t hurt.
Mounties got a description of the man but weren’t able to find him while patrolling. They identified a suspect and got a warrant.
A family member of the alleged armed robber then brought him into the Minnedosa RCMP detachment.
A 21-year-old man from Strathclair was charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order and one count of disobeying a court order.
